1. What this policy covers

These rules apply to every connectivity service Nerdster supplies (leased lines, full fibre, broadband and mobile backup) and to everyone you allow to use it. They form part of your Service Agreement with Nerdster Ltd and mirror the acceptable use policy of the carrier network the service runs on.
We may update this policy; continued use of the service after an update is acceptance of it.

for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harms other internet users;
to send, receive or store material that is offensive, indecent, defamatory or menacing;
to break, or try to break, the security of anyone else's equipment or software, including network scans, denial-of-service attacks or other hacking activity;
to use IP addresses that have not been assigned to you, to forge packet headers, or to impersonate another user;
to send, receive or store material that infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
to transmit viruses, malware, spyware or any other harmful code;
to run open mail relays, open proxies or similar services that let unknown third parties use your connection.

No unsolicited bulk or marketing email, chain letters or pyramid schemes, and no messages sent for fraud or to harass.
Mailboxes must not generate large volumes of undeliverable mail or forwarding loops. Mailing lists must keep evidence of subscriber consent.

You are responsible for the security of devices and servers behind the router. Systems connected to the internet should follow current IETF standards.
The carrier may disconnect equipment that is interfering with other users, appears compromised, or suddenly consumes capacity that affects the network.

Where this policy is breached, Nerdster or the carrier may suspend or end the service. Unless urgent action is needed, we will contact you first with what needs to change. Restoration is at our discretion where there is a history of misuse.
