The network everything else depends on

Every application, every phone call, every file transfer, every cloud service your business uses depends on the network underneath it. When the network is slow, everything is slow. When the network goes down, everything stops.

Yet most London offices have not reviewed their network infrastructure in years. Network design around your actual traffic

Enterprise networking starts with understanding what the network needs to support. We audit your current environment, map your applications and traffic patterns, count your devices, and identify your performance requirements. A 30-person law firm running cloud-based document management has very different needs from a 50-seat trading floor pulling real-time market data.

From that assessment, we design a network architecture that handles your current load with headroom for growth. This includes structured cabling, managed switches with proper VLAN segmentation, enterprise wifi with controller-based management, and a next-generation firewall that provides both security and traffic visibility.

We specify and procure the hardware, configure it to our standards, install it cleanly, and document everything. You get every port assignment, every VLAN and every firewall rule written down, so the next change is straightforward and nothing rests on guesswork.

Business wifi that works across the whole floor

Poor wifi is the most common complaint we hear from businesses in shared office buildings and open-plan spaces across London. The problem is almost always the same: access points were installed without a site survey, so coverage is uneven, channels overlap, and capacity runs out when everyone is in the office.

We run wireless surveys that map signal strength, interference sources, and channel utilisation across your space. Then we design an access point layout that gives you consistent coverage and enough capacity for every device you actually run — laptops, phones, tablets, and video conferencing hardware.

What a business line costs, and what you get for it

The circuit is the one part of the network you cannot design around, and it is the part most often bought on a “from” price that turns out not to apply to your building. Real figures for a London address, on a 36-month term and excluding VAT:

  • Dedicated fibre, or a leased line. From about £190 a month for 100 Mb and £280 for a gigabit, installation usually free on that term. Symmetric, uncontended, and carrying a service level: 99.9% availability measured monthly, a six-hour target time to repair around the clock, and service credits against the monthly charge if either is missed.
  • Full fibre broadband. From about £46 a month for roughly 550 Mb down and 75 Mb up. Shared capacity, asymmetric upload, a 24 to 48 hour repair target and no credits.
  • SoGEA or FTTC. From about £29 a month where full fibre has not reached the building yet.
  • 4G or 5G. As a backup or a bridge, live in about a week where a fixed line will take months.

The service level is the real difference, not the headline speed. Broadband that fails on a Friday afternoon is fixed when it is fixed. A dedicated line has a contractual repair target and a credit when it is missed, which is why it is the answer for an office that cannot trade without a connection.

Lead times matter as much as price when you are planning a move: about 45 working days for dedicated fibre where the serving exchange is already connected, 60 to 90 where the carrier has to build out to you, and 10 to 25 working days for full fibre and broadband.

Connect your sites with managed firewalls and SD-WAN

Your firewall is both your first line of network defence and a traffic management tool. Alongside our cybersecurity services, it forms your security perimeter. We deploy and manage enterprise firewalls with intrusion prevention, content filtering, VPN termination and detailed traffic analytics.

Run more than one site and SD-WAN replaces expensive MPLS circuits with encrypted connections over ordinary internet links. It routes traffic on application priority and link quality, so performance holds steady and the circuit bill drops. Our zero trust security work plugs straight into an SD-WAN design.

As part of our managed IT support, we monitor every component of your network infrastructure around the clock. When a switch port fails, an access point drops offline or bandwidth approaches capacity, the monitoring raises an alert for investigation under the response process in your plan.

Yes. We handle the networking for an office move from first survey to final test: site survey, cabling specification, rack build, hardware procurement, configuration, and testing. We coordinate with your fit-out contractor and ISP to ensure connectivity is live on day one.

What firewall brands do you work with?

We primarily deploy Fortinet and Meraki firewalls. Both give you serious security features, cloud management, and clean integration with our monitoring. We can also manage existing SonicWall, Sophos, and Palo Alto deployments.

Do you support multi-site networking?

Yes. We design and manage SD-WAN networks that connect multiple offices, data centres, and cloud environments over encrypted tunnels. You get consistent performance and security across every location.

Can you improve our existing network without replacing everything?
