Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Nerdster Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

We may collect: your name, email address, phone number, company name, and job title when you contact us, request a quote, or sign up for our services. We also collect website usage data: cookieless visit counts (Umami, our own server, and Google’s tag in consent-denied mode) by default, and — only if you choose “Accept all” on our cookie banner — full Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, Microsoft Clarity session recordings and LinkedIn Insight data, as set out in our Cookie Policy.

If you use our connectivity price check, we also store the postcode and address you enter and the carrier quote it returns, so that we can produce your prices, honour them for the 30 days they are valid, and answer questions about them afterwards.

How we use your information

We use your information to: respond to enquiries, provide IT services, send relevant communications (with your consent), improve our website, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on: your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests, or compliance with legal obligations.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (hosting, email, CRM) who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements. If you accept cookies, Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn also receive the usage and advertising data described in our Cookie Policy, under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. Enquiry data is retained for 24 months unless you become a client.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Cookies

Before you make a choice on our cookie banner, the site runs privacy-friendly, cookieless visit counting (Umami, hosted by us) and Google’s tag in consent-denied mode, which sets no cookies or identifiers and sends only cookieless signals used for aggregate estimates. If you choose “Accept all”, Google Analytics and Google Ads switch to full measurement and set cookies, and we load Microsoft Clarity (which records how pages are used and sends those recordings to Microsoft) and LinkedIn Insight, which also set cookies. If you choose “Essential only”, no cookies or identifiers are set, the cookieless counting is switched off, and Google’s tag stays in consent-denied mode. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer — browser settings alone cannot switch off the cookieless counting. The full list of cookies, what each does and how long it lasts is in our Cookie Policy.
